Anders Aakaer Jensen appointed as new Group CFO at Danish Crown
Danish Crown’s Board of Directors has appointed Anders Aakaer Jensen as the new Group CFO. The selection was based on the Board's aim to find a profile with a comprehensive skill set and substantial experience in leading companies through transformations—qualities that Anders Aakaer Jensen embodies.
- Danish Crown is entering a new strategic period and is facing a significant transformation. We have recently appointed Niels Duedahl as our new Group CEO, and together with Anders Aakaer Jensen, we have a strong leadership team capable of guiding Danish Crown through the challenging times we are in. Anders has proven his ability to deliver growth and strong results under difficult conditions, and he has successfully led transformations in large international corporations. We are therefore pleased that he has accepted the position, says Asger Krogsgaard, Chairman of the Board of Danish Crown.
Since 2018, Anders Aakaer Jensen has served in a dual role as Group EVP/Group CFO at DOVISTA, part of the VKR Group, which specialises in windows and doors with brands such as VELFAC and Rationel. DOVISTA operates in several European countries, with both sales offices and production facilities.
From 2014 to 2018, Anders Aakaer Jensen was Group CFO at Bang & Olufsen, where he helped manage the company's significant financial challenges and initiated an extensive business transformation. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Grundfos, most recently as Group SVP of Corporate Finance. During his tenure at Grundfos, he gained significant international experience, including two expatriate assignments.
- It is a privilege for me to take on a significant role in one of Denmark's largest companies. I have great respect for what the Danish agricultural sector and the cooperative movement have built over many decades, particularly through the ownership of Danish Crown, says Anders Aakaer Jensen, adding:
- Both the agricultural sector and Danish Crown are in the midst of substantial changes — changes that are necessary and will be demanding. I am very much looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and tackling the tasks ahead alongside Niels and the rest of the leadership team, and I am eager to meet the many dedicated employees.
Anders Aakaer Jensen will assume his role at Danish Crown by December 1st at the latest. He succeeds Thomas Ahle, who has accepted a position as Group CFO at STARK Group.
