About

Aurora Coop, formally Cooperativa Central Aurora Alimentos, is a Brazilian food cooperative headquartered in Chapecó, Santa Catarina. Founded in 1969, it brings together agricultural cooperatives and producer families in an integrated supply chain spanning animal production, processing, cold-chain logistics and food distribution. The group is one of Brazil’s major animal-protein businesses, operating processing and support facilities primarily in southern Brazil, with additional operations in other producing regions. Its portfolio is marketed under the Aurora brand and serves both retail and foodservice channels in Brazil and abroad.

Products

Aurora Coop’s core food lines are pork and poultry, including fresh, chilled and frozen cuts, whole birds, portioned products, sausages, bacon, ham, salami, cooked meats and other further-processed protein items. The cooperative also has dairy operations and sells products such as milk, cheese, butter and related dairy foods. Its industrial offering combines commodity-style frozen animal protein for export with value-added refrigerated and processed products.

Export markets

The cooperative has a substantial domestic presence across Brazil and exports animal-protein products internationally. Its export activity is oriented toward approved overseas markets in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, with shipments dependent on destination-specific sanitary, halal, labeling and import requirements. International trade is centered on pork and poultry products, supported by frozen logistics and export-certified processing facilities.
