About
AVO-Werke August Beisse GmbH is a German manufacturer and refiner of spices, seasonings and food ingredients for professional food businesses. Founded in 1949, the family-owned company operates from Belm near Osnabrück in Lower Saxony and is positioned as one of Europe’s major spice-specialist businesses. AVO serves butchers, meat processors, food manufacturers, foodservice operators and retail-oriented customers with application-specific flavour solutions. Public company materials emphasize its manufacturing, product-development and quality-assurance capabilities; no current financial figures were identified for inclusion.
Products
The portfolio includes single spices, herbs, spice blends, curing and seasoning preparations, marinades, liquid seasonings, sauces, dressings and functional ingredients. AVO develops tailored blends for processed meat and sausage, poultry, fish, convenience foods, snacks, delicatessen products and plant-based applications. Its offering combines standard products with customer-specific formulations, including solutions for taste, colour, texture and production requirements.
Export markets
AVO supplies the German market and serves international professional food customers through export and distribution activities. Its market focus is primarily European food production and foodservice, supported by international sales for seasoning and marinade applications. The company’s customers are principally industrial processors and professional users rather than only consumer-facing retail buyers.
