Coopavel

Coopavel Agroindustrial Cooperative, established on December 15, 1970, now boasts 26 branches across 17 municipalities in the West and Southwest regions of Paraná, Brazil, along with 11 industries located in its own Industrial Park. These branches handle all raw materials produced by the cooperative's members, comprising 3,000 families, and offer services including technical, agronomic, and veterinary assistance. The cooperative employs a workforce of 3,500 professionals. The Industrial Park features various facilities: a pork slaughterhouse with a capacity of 1,500 animals per day; a poultry slaughterhouse processing 150,000 birds per day; a beef slaughterhouse with a daily capacity of 200 animals; a dairy industry receiving 100,000 liters of milk per day; a feed mill; a soybean crushing unit processing 800 tons per day; a vegetable by-product recycling unit; and a fertilizer industry producing 130,000 tons annually. Additionally, Coopavel includes a Seed Processing Unit producing 300,000 bags per year; a Breeding Stock Facility for 44 million birds per year; a hatchery capable of producing 90 million chicks per year; several limestone distribution units; a Quality Control Laboratory; and a Corporate University. The cooperative's manufactured products are marketed nationwide, with 50% destined for export to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Exported products include chicken meat, pork, soybeans, soy meal and oil, and corn. Last year, the company exported a total of 42 million tons.
