The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) is a Denver-based nonprofit trade association dedicated to expanding international demand for U.S. red meat and livestock products. Established in 1976, it represents a broad coalition of U.S. producers, processors, exporters, feedgrain organizations, agricultural associations and allied businesses.
Products
USMEF promotes U.S. beef, pork and lamb, along with variety meats, processed meat products and selected related products.
Export markets
Its activities span market research, trade servicing, consumer and foodservice promotion, technical assistance, retailer and importer education, trade missions, buyer introductions and advocacy on market-access issues. Key export-development activity is concentrated in Asia-Pacific markets, North and Central America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and other emerging international destinations.
