Westfort originated from two established family enterprises within the pork sector: Egbert Kruiswijk Meat Products B.V. and Lunenburg Meat B.V. In 2013, these firms elected to merge their assets to bolster their status as trailblazers in pioneering concept development, and to further reinforce the transition towards sustainability in the Netherlands' meat industry.
